About the Department

Department overview
The Department of Information Security was established in 2002. The graduate school of Information Security was established in 2012. Sejong Cyber University is the only online university in Korea that runs both the undergraduate program and graduate program in succession in Information Security. The department has been recognized for its expertise in information security and its excellence in educational content by being selected for the Korean online MOOC project hosted by the Ministry of Education.
- Equips with the knowledge in theory and practice through four expert courses: Hacking Security Expert, Forensic Expert, Industrial Security Expert, and Secure Coding Expert
- Provides special lectures on intelligent information security composed of AI security and IoT & big data security
- Provides special courses to acquire Information Security certificate to become information security industry engineer & information security engineer
- Provides special courses for cyber defense
